PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image diagnostic apparatus capable of certainly transferring image data even when not knowing an information format capable of being read by a device of a transfer destination.SOLUTION: An image diagnostic apparatus 1 writes a pixel information group 13 of images, a collateral information group 14 representing collateral information of the images in as many information formats as assumed, and an output image generation program executed in a reader 2 into a portable recording medium 3. The reader 2 executes the output image generation program when reading information of the portable recording medium 3, generates a plurality of sample images in each of which the information format is different about one image (pixel information), and determines the sample image capable of being read.
