An orthopaedic implant includes an articulation head which has a bearing surface and a reverse surface. A securement disk is formed from a porous material and has an attachment surface attached to at least a portion of the reverse surface of the articulation head, a securement surface opposite the attachment surface and adapted for coupling to a fixation plate secured to a bone, and at least one opening formed in the securement surface and adapted to accept fasteners therein.
