The present invention provides a band-like body by which a crotch member such as a disposable diaper can be accurately brought into contact with a portion below the crotch of an animal, and excrement such as urine excreted from the animal can be prevented from easily leaking from the crotch member. This band-like body (1) has: a central region disposed at the center in a longitudinal direction and corresponding to the abdomen of the animal when the band-like body is worn； a first region extending between an end edge portion on one side in the longitudinal direction and the central region, and corresponding to the back of the animal when the band-like body is worn； and a second region extending between an end edge portion on the other side in the longitudinal direction and the central region, and corresponding to the back of the animal when the band-like body is worn.
