The fountain comprises a pot combined into a unit with a water tank, which has a pump and a standpipe. A vessel connected to the tank contains a dispenser discharging oxygen into the circulating water on coming into contact with the latter. The oxygen is then discharged to the ambient air via the film of water (26) formed by the standpipe (25). The dispenser can consist of a pipette connected to the tank, and which can be filled from above. A level indicator can be provided for the water in the tank, which can have a step (27) at the top supporting a strainer plate (21). The water from the film drains through the plate and back into the tank.
