The invention relates to a perspiration-inhibiting composition free of aluminum salt and comprising - an active perspiration-inhibiting ingredient, - a pH regulator, except for triethanolamine, - a liquid carrier, and - water, characterized in that the active perspiration-inhibiting ingredient is malic acid and the liquid carrier has a fraction of at most 50 wt%, based on the total weight of the composition.
