PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skewer driving apparatus capable of performing the work of anchoring a turf mat on a ground surface by driving skewers easily and securely with a good workability and expecting a reduction in construction cost.SOLUTION: A skewer driving apparatus 6 is configured by making the holding part 3 of an air hammer 2 hold a skewer driving bit 1. The skewer driving bit 1 includes a holding shaft part 29 held by the holding part 3 of the air hammer at the top end part, and a skewer holding part 31 at the bottom end part. The skewer holding part 31 has a skewer receiving hole 33 with the bottom end open to receive the top end side part 32 of a skewer 5.
