PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for forming cooked rice, having improved productivity of cooked rice lumps.SOLUTION: A cooked rice-transporting mold 12 for transporting a measured and divided cooked rice lump to a forming section 13 disposed adjacent to a measuring and dividing section 10 is disposed below the measuring and dividing section 10 of a device 1 for forming cooked rice, in a state reciprocally movable in lateral direction. A buffer section 11 for temporarily holding the measured and divided cooked rice lump is disposed below the measuring and dividing section 10 for controlling the timing for dropping the measured and divided cooked rice lump into the cooked rice transporting mold 12. The measurement of the cooked rice lump, the transport by the cooked rice transporting mold 12, the forming in the forming section 13, and the transfer in an inputting section 14 can be thus independently performed, resulting in improved productivity of the cooked rice lumps in the device 1 for forming cooked rice.
