Disclosed are salts of the compound 4-methyl-N-[3-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-phenyl]-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl-pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-benzamide represented by the structural formula shown herein, namely the salts are hydrochloride, monophosphate, diphosphate, sulphate, methane sulfonate, ethane sulfonate, benzene sulfonate, and p-toluene sulfonate salt of said compound. Also disclosed is a method of preparing these salts, and the use of the salt to treat diseases which respond to an inhibition of protein kinase activity.
