PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for avoiding deterioration of water retention caused by weight saving and thin layer formation with a plant growth base material especially when the material is used for a roof floor, while it is demanded to avoid effusion of soil components caused, for example, by strong wind and/or heavy rain in the greening of the roof floor and a wall surface.SOLUTION: A polymer that has a reactive silicon group, an inorganic substance that has a porous structure, and a plant growth base material that contains water are used. Thus, the effusion of soil components is not only avoided, but the transpiration force is also suppressed for soil and plant to enhance the water holding capacity. Additionally, it is possible to retard the extent of dryness in a thin layer as well, and it is possible to realize labor saving for watering management.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】屋上や壁面の緑化において、強風や豪雨等により土壌成分の流出を防ぐことを求められているが、特に屋上に使用される場合の植物生育基材の軽量化と薄層化に伴って生じる水分保持の低下を防止する方法を提供する。【解決手段】反応性ケイ素基を有する重合体と、多孔質構造を有する無機物質と、水を含む植物生育基材を使用することで、土壌成分の流出を防ぐだけでなく、土壌及び植物の蒸散力を抑制し、保水性を高める。また、薄層においても乾燥の程度を遅らすことができ、潅水管理を省力化できる。【選択図】なし
