The side effect reducing agent of the immune checkpoint control agent of the present invention contains an anti-CD4 antibody having a high cytotoxic activity, an anti-CD4 antibody to which a cytotoxic component is bound, or an antigen-binding fragment thereof as an active ingredient. The anti-CD4 antibody is a human chimeric antibody, humanized antibody or human antibody against human CD4.
