The present invention relates to a hybrid anticancer pro-drug capable of simultaneously producing cinnamaldehyde and quinone methide. The hybrid anticancer pro-drug of the present invention releases cinnamaldehyde producing reactive oxygen species (ROS) by esterase and acidic pH and quinone methide scavenging glutathione (GSH) respectively, inhibits antioxidation systems, and promotes apoptosis, thereby bringing synergistic anticancer effects and double stimulation responses specific to cancer cells.
