PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial seaweed bed capable of raising algae even on the water bottom around an algal reef, and forming a seaweed bed artificially in a wide range on the water bottom, and to provide a formation method thereof.SOLUTION: In an artificial seaweed bed in which a plurality of algal reefs are installed at intervals on the water bottom, a net-like member is arranged so as to cover a region surrounded by the algal reefs on the water bottom, and the net-like member is connected to the respective algal reefs.
