Coreoperca herzi Herzenstein is Perciformes and is Korea endemic species which belong to Centropomidae and Coreoperca, together with Coreopercakawamebari. A study on Coreoperca shows that appearing frequency is 1% among fresh water fishes, but the Coreoperca has been recently decreased by a trend of an ecosystem change due to the construction of dams, the contamination of living waste water and agricultural chemicals. According to the overall opening of the import of marine products, competitive fish species development is required. At the point of time, Coreoperca should be protected as an important species in Korea, particularly, the need of aquaculture development of the Coreoperca is highly magnified. Therefore, the study relates to an aquaculture development technique of the Coreoperca. The research on fodder acclimation for fries shows that animal plankton (Artemia, water flea) has highest survival rate and fodder acclimation rate when the fries are fed for more than 40 days. Cultured Coreoperca are injected with a spawn inducing agent (HCG) and the collection of eggs is induced. Massive artificial seeding production is possible by culturing fishes through the research of gonadosomatic index (GSI) and the growth and survival rate of fry (F2).
