The method involves estimating hemodynamic perfusion parameters from perfusion signals. The hemodynamic perfusion parameters are estimated by estimating conjunction of parameters of a global perfusion model, where the model has a relation between perfusion signal and concentration of contrast agent circulating in voxel. Another relation among concentration of contrast agent, blood flow, arterial input function parametric or semi-parametric model and parametric or semi-parametric model of complementary distribution function of transition time in the voxel is derived for the perfusion model.
