ATP-sensitive potassium channel ligand, selected from sulfamides andglinides, or any combination thereof and methods for treating diabetes andneuropsychological dysfunction and methods for treating diabetes mellitus,neuropsychological, muscular and neurological disorders in a particular groupofpatient. More specifically, the invention relates to methods of treatingdiabetesmellitus, neuropsychological and neurological disorders in patients havingdefective potassium channels. The invention may be used in human subjects,particularly adults or children, and is appropriate to treat variousneurologicaldisorders.
