PURPOSE: A composition containing a Quercus dentata gall extract is provided to prevent and treat viral infection in a plant with safety. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing viruses in a plant contains 0.5-99.9% of a Quercus dentata gall extract. A method for preparing the extract comprises: a step of adding an organic solvent to Quercus dentata gall, stirring at 35-45 deg.C. and 50-300 rpm for 12-48 hours or extracting by sonicatioin at 20-100 kHz； and a step of filtering and drying. The solvent is selected from methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, butanol, ethylene, acetone, hexane, ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, dichloromethane, N,N-methylformaide(DMF), dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO), 1,3-butylene glycol, and propylene glycol.
