A device configured to communicate in fluid with an object, comprising: an element, the configuration of which provides contact with the object to form a pair, subjected to varying compression, between the element and the object; and a seal located on the element and in the mate subjected to variable compression, wherein the configuration of the seal reduces unwanted fluid leakage in the mate subjected to variable compression, while the seal contains filter material whose configuration allows trapping of unwanted particles trying to pass through the mate subjected variable compression. 2. The device according to claim 1, in which the filter material is compressible. The device according to claim 2, in which the filter material is formed from a nonwoven material. The device according to claim 1, in which the element is a valve mechanism having a flow blocking element, and the object is an element of heat and moisture exchange. The device according to claim 4, in which the seal is located on the element of the flow obstruction. The device according to claim 5, in which the seal is attached to the element blocking the flow using glue intended for use in medicine.
