PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack device for rearing experimental animals which effectively discharges contaminated air in a rearing cage and forms an air flow so as to make clean air in a rearing room surely enter the rearing cage, and eliminates complications of work such as putting the rearing cage in and out of the rack device, providing feed into the rearing cage, and putting animals in and out of the rearing cage.SOLUTION: An exhaust port forming device 16 and an upper cage cover 23 are disposed in the vicinity of the open upper surface 2a of the rearing cage 1 stored in a cage accommodating portion 15 on a shelf board 14 supported by a frame structure 11. An exhaust port forming body 18 entering the opening portion 19 of a bottom plate 17a to project into the cage accommodating portion 15 is rotatably attached to the inside of a boxlike exhaust portion 17 forming the exhaust port forming device 16.
