PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and simply producing high-purity azilsartan from a solution of rough azilsartan containing an azilsartan dimer as impurities.SOLUTION: A method for producing azilsartan includes bringing solution of rough azilsartan containing an azilsartan dimer as impurities and activated carbon into contact with each other, and then classifying the azilsartan from the solution to produce high-purity azilsartan.
