The present invention relates to a composition for protection against radiation containing nisoldipine as an active ingredient, wherein nisoldipine can inhibit the expression of insulin-forming growth factor binding protein (IGFBP5), p53, and p21, which are increased by radiation in vascular endothelial cells. In addition, nisoldipine can inhibit increased cell senescence, gene damage and calcium absorption by radiation, and can inhibit intestinal damage by radiation. Therefore, according to the present invention, the composition containing nisoldipine as an active ingredient having the above-mentioned effect can be used to treat patients with radiation exposure by protecting cells from radiation damage in various cells including vascular endothelial cells or by promoting cell regeneration after the damage.본 발명은 니솔디핀(nisoldipine)을 유효성분으로 함유하는 방사선 보호제용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 니솔디핀은 혈관 내피세포에서 방사선에 의해 증가된 인슐린 형성 성장인자 결합 단백질(IGFBP5), p53 및 p21의 발현을 억제할 수 있다. 또한, 니솔디핀은 방사선에 의해 증가된 세포 노화, 유전자 손상 및 칼슘 흡입량을 억제할 수 있으며, 방사선에 의한 장 손상을 억제할 수 있다.따라서, 상기와 같은 효과를 갖는 니솔디핀을 유효성분으로 함유하는 본 발명의 조성물은 혈관 내피세포를 포함한 다양한 세포에서 방사선 손상으로부터 세포를 보호하거나 손상 발생 이후 세포 재생을 촉진시킴으로써 방사선 피폭 환자 치료에 활용될 수 있다.
