A description is given of a device for retaining or securing dental prostheses which can be removed when necessary but which offers the required features in "fixed" prostheses, said device also avoiding possible weak spots where a fracture might occur, offering very effective retention of the prosthesis without the use of cements that might penetrate where not required. To that end, the device described herein has two main parts coupled to one another, comprising, on the one hand, a first piece called the "interface piece" and, on the other, a second piece or "connection piece" that comprises a retainer and is designed to act as retention element, being secured by means of compression to the interface piece which is secured, by means of a screw thread, to an already inserted implant, thereby avoiding further interventions.
