PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator with high raising effect on a subject being raised such as a plant.SOLUTION: An illuminator according to an embodiment is an illuminator for raising which emits an emission spectrum including: a first wavelength component having light intensity in a range from 600nm to 700nm; a second wavelength component having light intensity in a range from 500nm to less than 600nm, and a third wavelength component having light intensity in a range from 400nm to less than 500nm.
