A method for chemically modifying the internal region of the hair shaft comprising applying a monomer composition to the hair, wherein the monomer composition comprises an ethylenic monomer having a molecular weight of 500 g/mole or less then rinsing the hair then applying a conditioning composition to the hair, wherein the conditioning composition comprises a hydrophobic polyol and a hydrophilic polyol and wherein the method comprises applying an initiator to the hair prior to rinsing the hair, wherein the initiator initiates the chemical modification.La présente invention concerne un procédé de modification chimique de la région interne dune tige de cheveu comprenant lapplication dune composition de monomère sur le cheveu, la composition de monomère comprenant un monomère éthylénique ayant une masse moléculaire inférieure ou égale à 500 g/mol le rinçage du cheveu puis lapplication dune composition de conditionneur sur le cheveu, la composition de conditionneur comprenant un polyol hydrophobe et un polyol hydrophile et le procédé comprenant lapplication dun initiateur sur le cheveu avant le rinçage dudit cheveu, linitiateur initiant la modification chimique.
