A method for processing at least one image to detect strabismus, in which the at least one image has been obtained using an apparatus comprising a light source and a target diverted from the light source, the method comprising, for each of the left and right eyes of the subject: determine, from the image, a distance of reflection deviation, which is the distance between a reference point of the eye and a reflection of a light source in the eye； determine a difference between the reflection deviation distance and a reference reflection deviation distance for the corresponding left or right eye, where the reference reflection deviation distance has been determined based on relative positions of the light source, the target and the subject's head； and determine if the difference is less than a difference threshold value.Un método para procesar al menos una imagen para detectar estrabismo, en el que la al menos una imagen se ha obtenido usando un aparato que comprende una fuente de luz y una diana desviada de la fuente de luz, comprendiendo el método, para cada uno de los ojos izquierdo y derecho del sujeto: determinar, a partir de la imagen, una distancia de desviación de reflexión, que es la distancia entre un punto de referencia del ojo y una reflexión de una fuente de luz en el ojo； determinar una diferencia entre la distancia de desviación de reflexión y una distancia de desviación de reflexión de referencia para el ojo izquierdo o derecho correspondientes, en donde la distancia de desviación de reflexión de referencia se ha determinado basándose en posiciones relativas de la fuente de luz, la diana y la cabeza del sujeto； y determinar si la diferencia es menor que un valor de umbral de diferencia.
