PURPOSE: A dental handpiece sterilizer is provided to minimize air contamination time of a handpiece by completely sterilizing the handpiece. CONSTITUTION: A dental handpiece sterilizer comprises a sterilization unit(700), a power supply unit(500), a fixing unit, and an extension unit(600). The sterilization unit accepts a handpiece and is equipped with a lamp unit for sterilizing the handpiece. The fixing unit fixes the power supply unit on the surface. The extension unit offers the power source of the power supply unit to the sterilization unit and varies the location of the sterilization unit.본 발명은 치과용 핸드피스 살균장치에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 절곡부를 이용하여 핸드피스 살균장치가 고정된 상태에서 핸드피스를 크기, 종류 및 위치에 상관없이 살균하고, 환자에게 사용되기 직전까지 완전하게 살균하여 핸드피스의 공기 중 오염(Air-borne infection) 시간을 최소화할 수 있는 치과용 핸드피스 살균장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 치과용 핸드피스 살균장치는 치과 유닛 체어에서 직접 핸드피스를 소독할 수 있어 핸드피스의 공기 중 감염 시간을 최소화할 수 있어, 환자의 안전을 위협하는 공기 중 감염, 상호 교차 감염(Cross contamination)을 막고 시간을 절약할 수 있으며, 눈앞에서 살균된 기구로 치료받는 환자의 심리적인 안정을 유도하는 효과가 있다.
