A furrow opener has an opener body with a mounting portion for mountingonto one of the tillage tool supporting shanks of an agricultural implement. Atip bodythat forms a furrow in the ground is supported on the opener body at alocation whichis downwardly and forwardly in relation to the mounting portion of the openerbody. Aproduct delivery passage on the opener body connects to a product deliverytube of theimplement for delivery of a product therethrough into the furrow formed by thetip body.The tip body is coupled to the opener body so as to be adjustable in heightrelative tothe opener body between a plurality of different mounted positionscorresponding todifferent heights relative to the product delivery passage. One or morespacers may bemounted between cooperating faces on the opener and tip bodies in some of themounted positions.
