PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnosis support apparatus capable of outputting suitable information to aid in determining during a follow-up whether a lesion or a lesion candidate contained in a tomographic image group is a malignant lesion, and also to provide an operation method therefor and a medical image diagnosis support program.SOLUTION: An image acquisition unit 41 acquires a tomographic image group 21N captured this time and a previously captured tomographic image group 21P. A coordinate acquisition unit 42 acquires the three-dimensional center coordinates of a lesion 22 contained in the tomographic image groups 21N and 21P. A pixel value distribution acquisition unit 43 acquires, with a radius from the center coordinates as a variable, a plurality of pixel value distributions of object pixels 60A in the tomographic image groups 21N and 21P on a surface of a sphere having the radius R. A pixel value distribution image generation unit 44 arranges the pixel value distributions with respect to the radius R to generate pixel value distribution images 63AN and 63AP.
