A mask for aquatic activities, the mask comprising a relatively rigid frame carrying at least one transparent lens, and a flexible skirt joined with a perimeter of the frame. The mask also includes a strap for holding the mask against a users head and buckles for adjusting the length of the strap. The buckles are joined with lateral sides of the frame by brackets extending from the lateral sides. The brackets are made of a selected flexible material.
