PURPOSE: A transglutaminase inhibitor containing oltipraz is provided to prevent or treat diseases caused by transglutaminase activation without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diseases caused by transglutaminase activation contains oltipraz or pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The diseases are inflammatory diseases, cancers, or neurological disorders. The inflammatory diseases are chronic inflammatory disorder such as degenerative arthritis, septicemia, or autoimmune myositis. The neurological disorder is Alzheimer disease, Huntington disease, or Parkinson's disease.
