Described herein are methods for dispensing temsirolimus to tissues surrounding blood vessels to treat vascular diseases. Also disclosed is an injectable composition of temsirolimus for delivery into tissues surrounding blood vessels to treat vascular diseases. There is a strong need to maintain or improve vessel patency by reducing vessel stiffening and thickening following mechanical revascularization of narrowed vessels.
