The present invention provides Escherichia coli producing catalase whose catalase activity is enhanced as compared to the intrinsic activity, and provides a method for producing catalase using the Escherichia coli gene. In addition, a composition comprising Escherichia coli producing catalase and active enhanced catalase produced by the above method as an active ingredient shows an effect that can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.본 발명은 카탈라아제의 활성이 내재적 활성에 비하여 강화된 카탈라아제를 생산하는 대장균을 제공하고, 상기 대장균의 유전자를 이용한 카탈라아제 생산 방법을 제공한다. 또한, 상기 방법으로 생산된 카탈라아제와 활성강화 카탈라아제를 생산하는 대장균을 유효성분으로 포함하는 조성물은 염증성 장질환 예방용 및 치료용 약학적 조성물로 이용할 수 있는 효과를 나타낸다.
