PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transporting a pruning machine between standing trees, by which the heavy portion of a power pruning machine finished a pruning work is transported to the adjacent next standing tree without relying on a human power, thereby being capable of reducing the loads of a worker and avoiding a danger on a pruning work in a mountainous region, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: This method for transporting the pruning machine between the standing trees comprises approximately horizontally supporting and fixing a fixing support plate 15 to the lower portion of the standing tree 1A to be pruned, loading a power pruning machine on the fixing support plate 15 to perform a pruning work for the standing tree 1A, approximately horizontally supporting and fixing a fixing support plate 15 to the lower portion of the adjacent next standing tree 1B after the finish of a pruning work or during the pruning work, mounting a rail 28 between rail- supporting arms 25 attached to both the fixing support plates 15, transporting and attaching the heavy portion of the pruning machine to the fixing support plate 15 of the standing tree 1B through the rail 28, and then continuing the pruning work.
