PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate fetus measurement more easily and simply in an ultrasonic diagnostic device.SOLUTION: A reference cross section 44 that crosses a measurement object part (e.g., a head) in a fetus 42 is set, and a scan range 46 for search as a three-dimensional range that spreads in the front and the rear of the reference cross section 44 is set. Volume data for search is acquired by the transmission and reception of an ultrasonic wave to and from the scan range 46 for search, and based on the volume data for search, a measurement surface including a predetermined cross section of the measurement object part is searched. A scan range for measurement including the measurement surface is set, and by the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic wave to and from the scan range for measurement, measurement surface data (e.g., B mode tomographic image data) is acquired.
