The invention relates to compositions for dying and/or coloring keratin fibers, which in a cosmetically acceptable carrier comprise at least one preliminary dye product and/or a direct-dying colorant and an active ingredient combination consisting of at least one oil, the triglyceride fraction thereof having a fatty acid distribution with a palmitic acid content greater than 7 wt.% and a linoleic acid content greater than 20 wt.%, and at least one protein hydrolyzate.
