The present invention includes an extract of Lactobacillus bacteria capable of producing immunomodulatory effects in a subject patient. Embodiments of the present invention, for example, can be used as adjuvants in the medical treatment of such diseases caused by imbalance in cytokine production or inflammatory or anti-inflammatory, as a medicament for treating a disease or dietary supplements. The condition for obtaining the extract of the present invention are useful, infectious diseases, allergies, autoimmune diseases, and inflammation including, but may be useful as an adjuvant for providing health benefits to the subject patient.
