The present disclosure generally relates to a line guide (1000) for a fishingrod and that employs a system of roller assemblies (1006) within a frame (1002),the roller assemblies configured to form a passageway (1004) for the fishingline to pass through. As an angler reels in a fish and the fishing line is in contactwith one of the roller assemblies, the tension of the fishing line will cause acomponent of the roller assembly to rotate, thus greatly reducing any slidingfriction between the fishing line and the line guide. The line guides can be a varietyof sizes and the frames of the line guides can vary in shape and their mounting orientationrelative to the fishing rod.
