To provide an absorbent article easy to pull up when attaching and capable of securing an absorption area of body fluid.SOLUTION: An absorbent article (10) comprises an absorbent core (31), and side flaps (15) extending to the outsides in the width direction from the absorbent core. The absorbent core has an area made by equally dividing a full length in the front and back direction of the absorbent core into three, a crotch area and a rear side area. A length of the side flap in the width direction in the crotch area is 30 mm or more. The crotch area (R13) has a central area (R13C), and side areas (R13S) positioned at both outsides in the width direction from the central area. Low basis weight parts (33) are provided along the front and back direction in both outer edges of the central area.
