The present invention relates to a composition comprising aucubin for promoting differentiation of neural stem cells or neural precursor cells, and growth of neural axon. Specifically, the composition can be usefully used as a composition for culturing cells for promoting differentiation of neural cells and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating neuron-associated diseases, by providing effects on promoting differentiation of neural stem cells or neural precursor cells and promoting growth and regeneration of neural axon, capable of regenerating a nervous system and mass-producing neural stem cells for transplanting therethrough.본 발명은 어큐빈을 포함하는 신경줄기세포 또는 신경전구세포 분화, 및 신경 축색돌기 성장 촉진용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 신경줄기세포 또는 신경전구세포의 분화를 촉진하고 신경 축색의 성장 및 재생을 촉진하는 효과가 있어, 이를 통한 신경계 재생 및 이식용 신경줄기세포의 대량생산이 가능하며, 신경세포의 분화를 촉진하기 위한 세포배양용 조성물, 및 신경 관련 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
