Disclosed is the invention to render certain lipophilic alcohols, i.e. monohydric and polyhydric alcohols having a an octanol/water partition coefficient higher than that of octanol, into effective deodorant active agents. This is achieved by formulating these agents with an alcoholic carrier, particularly a glycol, of a more hydrophilic nature, viz. having an octanol/water partition coefficient lower than that of octanol.La présente invention concerne lutilisation de certains alcools hydrophobes, cest-à-dire des alcools monohydriques et polyhydriques ayant un coefficient de partage octanol/eau supérieur à celui de loctanol, en tant quagents actifs désodorisants efficaces. Cela est réalisé en formulant ces agents avec un véhicule alcoolique, en particulier un glycol, dune nature plus hydrophile, cest-à-dire ayant un coefficient de partage octanol/eau plus faible que celui de loctanol.
