The present invention relates to a novel polypeptide having antibacterial and antifungal activity, a nucleic acid sequence encoding the same, and an antibacterial and antifungal composition containing the same polypeptide as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the polypeptide can effectively inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria and pathogenic fungi by inhibitory activities against subtilisin A and proteinase K. Therefore, the polypeptide can be advantageously used for materials in various fields such as pharmaceutical products, detergents, plant disease preventing agents, coating agents, or cosmetics.본 발명은 항균 및 항진균 활성을 갖는 신규 폴리펩티드, 이를 코딩하는 핵산 서열, 상기 폴리펩티드를 유효성분으로 함유하는 항균 및 항진균용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 항균 및 항진균 활성을 갖는 신규 폴리펩티드는 서브틸리신 A 및 프로테아제 K에 대한 저해 활성을 통해 세균, 병원성 곰팡이균과 같은 미생물의 성장을 효과적으로 억제할 수 있는바, 의약품, 세정제, 식물병 방제제, 코팅제 또는 화장품과 같은 다양한 분야의 소재로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
