A water discharge apparatus characterized in being provided with a water discharge member in which are formed a slit-shaped discharge port (11) and a discharge passage (33) for supplying water to the discharge port (11), the discharge passage (33) having formed therein a storage chamber (45) for storing water flowing in from an upstream side as stored water and a narrowing flow channel (47) for feeding the stored water in the storage chamber (45) to the discharge port (11), and side surfaces (33a) on the widthwise sides of the discharge passage (33) being formed such that the passage width increases from the storage chamber (45)-side toward the discharge port (11)-side, and also being formed such that angles (?1), which are acute angles formed by a virtual line (L1) extending parallel to the width direction of the discharge port (11) and tangents (L2) passing through open edges (51) of the discharge port (11) in the side surfaces (33a), are 45° or greater and less than 90°.
