The brake unit includes: a retainer having a fixing groove and a plurality of first guide grooves a brake shoe housing fixed to the retainer and has a plurality of slots, a plurality of second guide grooves, and a plurality of mounting grooves brake shoes mounted in the plurality of slots so as to be inserted into the slots or withdrawn therefrom and pivot members mounted in the mounting grooves to press the brake shoes.
