The present invention relates to a medical evaluation device (10) for evaluating an adherence to a therapy protocol when using an aerosol nebulizer (30) having an aerosol generator (31) for nebulizing a liquid medication according to said therapy protocol, said medical evaluation device (10) comprising: a communication unit (100), configured to establish a communication connection with a communication device (20), said communication connection being configured for: providing first configuration data to a nebulizer control device (40) of said aerosol nebulizer (30) via said communication device (20), said first configuration data for configuring said aerosol nebulizer according to said therapy protocol； and receiving nebulizing data indicating an operation of said aerosol nebulizer from said communication device (20)； further comprising an evaluation unit (110), configured to evaluate said adherence to said therapy protocol based on a comparison of said received nebulizing data with respective parameters defined within said therapy protocol； wherein said evaluation unit (110) is further configured to generate therapy related feedback data.
