PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fat absorption inhibitor having mild action and having high safety even when ingesting it over a long period and derived from natural products, because it is known that excess ingestion of fat causes obesity and serum hypertriglyceridemia and obesity raises insulin resistance and has high incidence of diabetes mellitus, hyperlipemia, hypertension and arteriosclerotic diseases and consequently, it is thought that the medicine suppressing absorption of fat in foods is effective for preventing or ameliorating obesity and serum hypertriglyceridemia and prevents diabetes mellitus, hyperlipemia, hypertension and arteriosclerotic diseases induced by obesity.SOLUTION: The fat absorption inhibitor is obtained by formulating one or more kinds of substances selected from a group consisting of dried roots of Pulsatilla chinensis, dried bud of Buddleia officinalis Maxim, dried bark of Erythrina indica L.=E. variegata L. var. orientalis (L.)
