A system for applying reduced pressure to a tissue site, comprising:! reduced pressure source configured to supply reduced pressure! a porous gasket flowing in communication with the source of reduced pressure and having channel walls forming channels between them, the walls being permeable to gas to allow gas to pass through them when the reduced pressure is applied to the tissue site and substantially impermeable to liquid, to prevent the passage of fluid through them, and the impermeability of the walls to the liquid and the application of reduced pressure causes the flow of fluid through the channels, and! a surgical napkin adapted to be placed on top of the porous pad for hermetically closing the porous pad in the tissue site with the possibility of maintaining reduced pressure in the tissue site. ! 2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a delivery tube configured to transmit reduced pressure between the reduced pressure source and the laminar layer. ! 3.
