PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 3-piece type disposable diaper that fits sufficiently in the buttock side of a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 has a lengthwise direction and a transverse direction crossing the lengthwise direction. A leg-surrounding elastic member 19 is disposed in the lengthwise direction on the outer side of the transverse direction from an absorbent core 11. A dorsal strip elastic member 35b crossing a part of the leg-surrounding elastic member is disposed in the transverse direction in a dorsal strip member 30b. A ventral strip elastic member 35a crossing a part of the leg-surrounding elastic member is disposed in the transverse direction in a ventral strip member 30a.
