The present invention relates to a hydrogen generation device generating hydrogen through hydrolysis of water. The present invention provides a hydrogen generation device capable of actively controlling the hydrogen generation amount through effective control of power applied to a water electrolysis unit. To this end, the hydrogen generation device, which generates hydrogen through hydrolysis of water, comprises: a hydrogen generation module； a storage unit storing water supplied to the hydrogen generation module； a power supply unit constantly supplying power for hydrolysis to the hydrogen generation module； a sensor unit detecting a level of water stored in the storage unit and the inner temperature of the hydrogen generation device； and a control unit controlling the power supply unit according to the water level and the inner temperature of the hydrogen generation device detected through the sensor unit.본 발명은 물의 전기분해를 통해 수소를 발생시키는 수소발생장치에 관한 것으로, 수전해부로 인가되는 전원의 효과적인 제어를 통해 수소 발생량을 능동적으로 제어할 수 있는 수소발생장치를 제공한다. 이를 위한 본 발명은, 물의 전기분해를 통해 수소를 발생시키는 수소발생장치에 있어서, 수소발생모듈과； 상기 수소발생모듈로 공급되는 물이 저장되는 저장부와； 상기 수소발생모듈로 전기분해를 위한 전원을 항상 일정하게 공급해주는 전원공급부와； 상기 저장부에 저장된 물의 수위와, 상기 수소발생장치 내부의 온도를 검출하는 센서부와； 상기 센서부를 통해 검출된 물의 수위 및 수소발생장치 내부의 온도에 따라 상기 전원공급부의 동작을 제어하는 제어부；를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
