The present invention relates to a novel G1-DNJ compound manufactured by transferring sugar to an existing DNJ (1-deoxynojirimycin) compound and a use thereof as a hypoglycemic agent. The G1-DNJ developed in the present invention further inhibits the hydrolysis ability of alpha glucosideases compared to a conventional DNJ, while not inhibiting alpha amylase, and thus can be used as a therapeutic agent for diabetes.본 발명은 기존에 존재하는 DNJ(1-deoxynojirimycin) 화합물에 당을 전이하여 새롭게 만든 G1-DNJ 화합물 및 이의 혈당강하제로서의 용도에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서 개발된 G1-DNJ는 기존의 DNJ에 비하여 알파글루코시데이즈의 가수분해능을 더욱 저해하는 반면, 알파아밀레이즈는 저해하지 않는 바, 당뇨병치료제로 적극 사용될 수 있다.
