The invention relates to an apparatus and method for measuring accommodation of, at least one, eye which apparatus comprises a refractometer for measuring the refraction of the eye and which apparatus also comprises at least one combination of target images which target images are positioned, in a sequence, at different distances in front of said eye characterized in that the apparatus is adapted to include at least one combination of target images which combination includes at least one dynamic target image.
