Trimmer heads for trimmers are provided. A trimmer head includes a driveplate defining a lug slot, and a locking lug, the locking lug movablypositioned in thelug slot and movable between an unlocked position and a locked position. Atrimmerhead further includes a drive plate cover connectable to the drive plate suchthat thelocking lug is disposed between the drive plate and the drive plate cover. Atrimmerhead further includes at least one operational head, the at least oneoperational headconnectable to the drive plate. The connected operational head is locked tothe driveplate when the locking lug is in the locked position and the connectedoperationalhead is unlocked from the drive plate when the locking lug is in the unlockedposition.
